Cruising
NOYC and its membership often marshal their boats together for a fun raft-ups out in the middle of the lake or to events like the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival or to the Ship Island Rendezvous along the scenic beaches of the Gulf Islands off of the Mississippi Coast.
What’s better than anchoring just off of West End with 20+ other boats and enjoy cocktails, grilling and good friends over the 4th of July all the while experiencing all of the fireworks displays from the Lakefront Airport to Downtown to Bucktown and to Kenner as the sun sets in the west?
With NOYC members representing the club at regattas from Texas to Florida, there is no end of ideal cruises to support your club and enjoy the camaraderie and the energy of these major regattas.
Lake Pontchartrain offers 633 square miles of open water to explore and with with the Gulf Islands National Seashore less than a twelve hour sail away, New Orleans is an ideal place to get your cruise on.
Seriously, how can one go wrong while being on the water amongst friends?
