GYA Women’s PHRF Championship

2.      RULES                        This regatta will be governed by the 2009-2012 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Prescriptions of U.S. Sailing, the GYA Regulations for Sanctioned Events (which can be found at www.gya.org) and the Sailing Instructions. In the event of a conflict, the Sailing Instructions will govern. 

 

  1. ENTRIES                          3.1 All entrants must register and race PHRF Spinnaker.

3.2 All entrants must have a current, valid PHRF certificate.

3.3 Eligible boats shall provide payment of the registration fee prior to the competitor’s meeting.

3.4 All entrants must provide a crew list no later than the competitors’ meeting.

  1. ENTRY FEES & DISCOUNTS US Funds: Cash, Check – payable to NOYC, Visa and MasterCard.

Late Registration (received or postmarked after May 15, 2010) $75.00

                                   

DISCOUNTS

                                                US Sailing members (must present member card) may deduct $10.00.

  1. NUMBER of RACES   3 Races will be scheduled in accordance with the GYA Regulations for Sanctioned Events. No starts after 1400 hrs on Sunday 5/23.

                                   

  1. SCORING                   The RRS Low Point System (RRS A4) shall be used. However, no scores shall be excluded. This changes RRS A2. 

 

  1. PRIZES                        Daily and Overall Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd

 

  1. RACING AREA          The racing area will be located on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain.
